Duties

The incumbent will assist and support basic laboratory experiments under supervision. They will work toward the production of doubled haploid (DH) plants in various plant species using established technologies. Responsibilities include preparing culture media and reagents, transferring and culturing plant materials with aseptic techniques, following established DH production procedures, testing new protocols as directed by the supervisor, rearing, monitoring, and caring for donor plants in growth facilities, collecting and storing spikes of donor material at the appropriate stage and processing them for culture, performing plant and culture treatments, maintaining accurate records, caring for and maintaining equipment and facilities, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the...
