Require a Special Education Tutor in Cape Town

We are looking for a dedicated learning support tutor for our 10‑year‑old son (Grade 4) based in the Kuilsriver / Somerset West area.

Responsibilities

1. Provide structured support in foundational literacy (reading fluency, decoding, spelling) and numeracy.
2. Assist with working memory challenges.
3. Offer bi‑weekly tutoring sessions (minimum) at the student’s place.
4. Use multisensory approaches such as Orton Gillingham for instruction.
5. Maintain patient, consistent, and structured guidance as he transitions into mainstream academic routines.

Qualifications

• Experience with multisensory reading approaches (e.g., Orton Gillingham).
• Understanding of working memory in learning difficulties.
• Ability to build on strengths and develop student confidence.
• Strong communication and patient approach.
