Advert Relief Janitors, Uist Schools £15.67 per hour, inclusive of £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance per hour The Education & Children’s Services Department is seeking to add to its list of persons who are willing to act as Relief Janitors in Uist Schools. Relief cover may be required on Saturdays as well as during the week, therefore if you are only available on Saturdays you should also apply. Hours as and when required. Duties include: carrying out security procedures for school buildings and grounds, including keyholder responsibilities; handyperson duties; day-to-day operation and routine maintenance of boilers and heating plant as instructed; preparing classrooms/halls for school and/or public use; school crossing patrol; supervision of community lets outwith school hours; and provide assistance and carry out new duties where any new property compliance testing regime is introduced for school premises.
