Summary This position is located at the Wilmington VA Medical Center for Wound Care. The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to the management of complex wound care patients. Coordinates care by serving as an expert clinician and patient/resident advocate in wound management. Responsibilities The wound clinic RN collaborates with the wound care team. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Managing and treating inpatient/outpatient/telewound consults Assessing STAT consults from acute care Ensuring daily operations in the nurse/wound clinic run smoothly The RN is responsible for providing care and educating veterans and their families in the promotion of health and prevention of illness based upon the nursing process in many different clinics and in many different specialties.
