Surgical Transplant ICU
The specialized 24-bed critical care unit is staffed by highly dedicated and experienced nurses and intensivists, complemented by skilled respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals trained to care for acutely ill surgical patients. Surgical specialties include transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas, and small bowel), thoracic surgery, plastic-reconstructive surgeries, vascular surgery, abdominal and ear, nose and throat surgery. The STICU is equipped to provide patients with state-of-the-art therapies at the bedside (continuous renal replacement), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, complex mechanical ventilation modes and medication infusions.
