Position Summary

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) provides and coordinates the delivery of psychiatric nursing care services to patients. Demonstrates nursing expertise and provides clinical leadership in evidence-based practices through direct care activities including nursing assessments, crisis intervention, patient and family education and health promotion activities.
