The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a 27-bed cardiac and medical critical care unit specializing in care of:

• Pre- and post-operative cardiac patients
• Cardiomyopathy patients requiring mechanical circulatory support
• Heart failure and post-MI cardiology patients
• Patients supported with IABP, Swan-Ganz catheters, CRRT, TTM, DKA management, pacemakers, severe sepsis, and respiratory failure
