The UAH and Stollery Children’s Emergency Department is a busy tertiary care level I emergency department and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This large tertiary Trauma Centre provides opportunities in a broad base of emergency nursing from Pediatrics to Trauma Care. Registered Nurses within the Emergency department work in a state-of-the‑art facility utilizing an electronic tracking system, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for emergency patients. Decisions are made in a collaborative multidisciplinary health care team environment.
