**Job Description:**

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
_The Neuro Critical Care Unit specializes in the treatment and care of complex neurological patients affected by ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, and seizure. We also treat neurologic diseases such as Guillain-Barre syndrome and myasthenia gravis. We provide intensive care for patients after brain and spinal surgery. We manage patients with cerebral edema, hydrocephalus, elevated ICP, hemicraniectomy, vasospasm, status epilepticus, DI, SIADH, cerebral salt wasting, and brain death.
