Job Description
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiology CT area plays a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cardiovascular CT imaging procedures, including CT angiograms and coronary calcium scoring. This nurse is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, IV insertion, administration of contrast agents, patient monitoring, and coordination of care before, during, and after the procedure.
The RN works collaboratively with cardiologists, CT technologists, and other members of the cardiovascular care team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and procedural efficiency. This role also involves patient education related to CT imaging and cardiovascular health, timely documentation, and readiness to respond to any adverse reactions or emergent situations.
