Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse with specialized knowledge and skills who demonstrates leadership when providing, directing, and improving care for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and late-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD). The nurse is under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or other immediate supervisor who provides the administrative supervision and general instruction, plans and assigns work, assigns time schedules, approves leave, and completes performance evaluations. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Functions as primary nurse for ESRD patient panel and serves as key resource assisting patients navigate the healthcare system.
