About the Role
Our service looks after the care of medical oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive therapy, or patients who have recently returned from radiation therapy in Dunedin.
Some of the key nursing tasks are:
* Comprehensive patient assessment;
* Administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapies and associated supportive therapies or procedures;
* Psychosocial assessment and support.
* The service currently operates two days per week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays; however, this schedule may be adjusted based on changing needs.
