Job Description
Position: Registered Midwife – Christchurch Women’s Hospital (Christchurch). Hours: 0.6 – 1.0 FTE (24–40 hrs/week). Status: Permanent.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join us and work collegially within our skilled and friendly multi‑disciplinary teams. In partnership with our local Lead Maternity Carers, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care for women and babies of the Canterbury (Waitaha) and West Coast (Te Tai o Poutini) regions.
You will be based at Christchurch Women’s Hospital or one of our women‑centered Primary Birthing Units in Ashburton, Rangiora, Rolleston, or Grey Base Hospital. You will work in partnership with women, their babies and families (whānau) in a supportive and professional environment.
We can offer you unique experiences within our Women’s Health services to enable you to learn and develop professionally across a range of specialty midwifery practice.
