Program / Department Summary

ER-CAP is a five‑year project (Dec 2023 – Nov 2028) that aims to improve the economic adaptation, protection, and recovery of conflict‑affected populations in Afar, Tigray, and Amhara. The project will benefit 43,540 individuals, focusing on IDPs, returnee women, youth and other marginalized groups, using a conflict‑sensitive, systems‑strengthening, climate‑smart and inclusive approach.

General Position Summary

Mercy Corps seeks an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of the ER‑CAP Project, providing technical, managerial and operational coordination across Abala within a post‑conflict environment. The role requires strong knowledge of conflict dynamics, market fragility, and the needs of vulnerable populations, and focuses on market systems development (MSD), economic recovery, social cohesion and resilience.
