The Clinical Referral Coordinator works as both a Medical Assistant and provides administrative support to our medical teams. General duties include Medical Assisting, patient communication (by fax, telephone, and/or computer), referral processing, insurance verification, and information gathering to support our patients. Our referrals team is the liaison between our patients and any outside services that their provider refers to including many types of specialty care. By facilitating the referral process our Clinical Referral Coordinators help patients access care they need by working with local specialty offices and clinics to ensure the needed information is provided so patients can make appointments and get the care they need.
