Job Description
**Overview**
The **Recreational Activities Aide** assists staff in the implementation of developmentally appropriate play activities and management of patient behavior. The incumbent will work as part of a team to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and positive play environment for the patients in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program playrooms.
**Responsibilities**
1. Provide general supervision of patients in the play areas.
2. Interact and engage with children in an environment that is welcoming, stimulating, and child-oriented.
3. Assist in facilitating developmentally appropriate social-recreational activities that foster a positive adjustment.
4. Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the playroom toys, supplies, and equipment. Utilize a checklist system to ensure routine scheduled toy washing in accordance with infection control standards.
