Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Complementary and Compassionate Services, the role of the Readaptation Officer is to prevent, promote, detect, and intervene in the psychosocial needs of students. The Student Support Professional will work closely with the Regional and Local Student Counsellors, and school staff, to support the students in their personal, social and emotional development.

Function & Duties

• Meet with students individually and in groups to assess emotional and mental wellness
• Respond to students at risk in the socio-affective domain and plan interventions with student counsellors
• Work in conjunction with school staff to plan and deliver early prevention activities using a trauma-informed lens that will aid the student's, social, emotional and mental well-being
