Job Description
The Reliability Centered Maintenance Engineer supports facility maintenance operations at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center by providing technical leadership and exercising full responsibility for all technical, administrative, and coordination functions related to a specific set of assigned systems and program elements (e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive Testing & Inspection, etc.) to ensure that they meet customer and user expectations in system performance, operability, reliability, quality, and schedule requirements.
Provide technical directions to technicians, engineers, inspectors, contractors, and others in the maintenance, repair, remanufacture, troubleshooting, and operation of assigned systems on a continuing or real time basis. Technical direction may also include being a console operator of a large operation directly supporting test operations; and controlling electrical power, HVAC, heavy equipment, or other critical hardware and utilities.
