Radiology Tech 3 (CT Scan Tech)

Purpose of Position: Under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, performs radiologic procedures. Level 3 means 2 registries.

Description: Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities. Receives and prepares patients for examinations. Receives and reviews requests for radiologic studies. Accesses patient condition to determine proper handling and special requirements. Ensures that all patients of childbearing age are questioned accordingly. Maintains equipment and examination room cleanliness. Prepares and administers contrast media under the supervision of a physician. Operates automatic film processor, inspects radiographs to determine quality, proper identification of film and completeness of exam.
