Job Description
- Immediate handling of incoming vessel purchase orders
- Send orders to appropriate suppliers for quotes.
- Price negotiations and order follow-up with suppliers
- Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm supplier selection following Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority permission.
- To work closely with the warehouse and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Send instructions to the supplier.
- Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers informed of any delivery.
- Contact with the port agents of the vessel
- Clearance through customs
- Based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager, make the necessary official bookings for service and repairs.
- Maintain and update the supplier's database across many platforms.
- A self-motivated worker with at least three years of experience in the marine industry is required. <...
