CS Core Responsibilities:
1. Support opening/approving temporary project-based yards. Responsibilities include reviewing the yard and determine if it qualifies and document findings to local Construction Manager or Supervisor.
2. Understand project site details to foresee with enough time, possible issues, such as proximity to high traffic roads, water ways, local landfills, spoil yards, etc.
3. Participate in weekly meetings, provide updates.
4. Attend job walks, meet with project management, contractors, and governing agencies.
5. Ensure the project construction team does not start the giveaway process until the approval process have been completed.
6. CS must review recipient’s property prior to agreeing to provide soil. The CS should evaluate and identify any hazards in advance. This requires a knowledge of trucks and underground utilities to be sure that the right sized trucks are ordered and that they do not damage any underground utilities. O...
