The George R. Brown School of Engineering and Computing at Rice University invites applications and nominations for a tenured Professor to serve as the Department Chair of Computational Applied Mathematics and Operations Research (CMOR) with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. We seek a visionary leader with an internationally recognized research profile to guide the department through a period of strategic growth and interdisciplinary innovation.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a world-class research program with a history of extramural funding, demonstrate excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction, and provide transformative leadership to the Department, the School, and the broader University community....
