Scope

The Product Configuration Analyst (PCA) role falls under the department of Product Configuration Management (PCM). PCM is responsible for the development, creation and maintenance of all part codes and bills of materials within our global databases and ERP systems (BPCS and M3). The PCA ensures that part codes are developed in an accurate and timely manner and that global data integrity is maintained in all databases regarding item master data. PCAs oversee the PCM portion of Change Control System Documents (CCDs), which are assigned to them as updates to BPCS and M3 as required by CCD implementation and GDP updates.
