Position Overview

Newstalk ZB is looking for a Lifestyle Radio Producer to head our Weekend Collective programme on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time maternity leave position.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce entertaining radio segments covering politics, finance, health, parenting, property and related topics.
• Coordinate talent, contributors and content for weekend airtime.

Required Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and a deep understanding of news and current events.
• Good political awareness and the ability to identify popular topics.
• Excellent industry contacts.
• Comfortable taking direction while confidently backing own decisions regarding talent and content.
• Background in journalism and preferably broadcasting experience.
