Job Description
Join Sandvik Mining as a Procurement Specialist responsible for sourcing materials and managing logistics in Saskatoon, Sturgeon Falls, or Sudbury. Drive competitive quality and cost standards while coordinating logistics across North America.
In this key role, you will manage procurement activities for various materials, services, and tooling. Effective inventory planning and freight coordination are crucial, ensuring timely deliveries that meet production schedules. Engage in supplier negotiations and evaluate vendor performance to support quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement of materials and inventory items
• Create and maintain accurate purchase orders
• Coordinate freight and logistics across North America
• Source and evaluate new suppliers as needed
• Support internal departments with procurement quotes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant fields
• Three years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
