A Brief Overview

The Pharmacy Technician is accountable for assisting pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications for patient administration. The Technician 2 functions in all aspects of drug distribution that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. All assigned activities are performed under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

What You Will Do

• For Inpatient Pharmacy Tech, activities include but are not limited to:
  * Accurate preparation of patient medications including non-sterile products and sterile products (including chemotherapy and TPN).
  * Accurate and timely delivery of patient specific medications.
  * Inventories, replenishes, and maintains drug stock.
  * Orients and trains new staff.
