POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Prior Authorization Representative is responsible for obtaining timely insurance approvals for cardiology procedures, imaging, and medications to support patient care and minimize delays.
Key Responsibilities:

+ Submit and track prior authorization requests for procedures, diagnostics, and medications

+ Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding authorization status

+ Ensure accurate and complete documentation in the EMR

+ Follow up on pending requests and resolve denials or additional information requests

+ Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines and cardiology-specific requirements

Qualifications to Apply:

+ 1–3 years of medical office or prior authorization experience (cardiology preferred)
