Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Principal Estimator who will play a critical role in building and leading a strategic estimating function supporting large‑scale utility transmission and substation projects. This role is responsible for the highest level of estimating work, including major capital projects, competitive bids, and complex portfolios.
The Principal Estimator will act as a technical expert and thought leader, partnering closely with engineering, construction, project management, vendors, and senior leadership. The team operates in a highly collaborative, flat organizational structure and places a strong emphasis on ownership, continuous improvement, and innovation. This individual will help protect the capital plan by developing defensible, risk‑adjusted estimates—not just unit pricing—and by driving consistency and rigor across estimating practices.
