**What you'll do?**

+ Design and build scalable, distributed solutions that enable Red Hat engineers to be productive and efficient
+ Engage with open source communities to build consensus on goals in shared projects and implement features to achieve those goals
+ Collaborate with Red Hat engineers to identify gaps in productivity and efficiency to be addressed by tooling
+ Investigate, communicate, and troubleshoot escalated issues coming from the engineering team
+ Maintain development, staging, and production environments and their monitoring and alerting systems
+ Participate in an on-call rotation to support multiple systems during working hours
+ Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
+ Perform code review for features and bug fixes
+ Mentor other engineers, lead them in building excellent services
