Principal Advisor, Strategic Communications & Engagement – 12‑month fixed term, full‑time, based in Wellington.

The role is part of a new Ministry Teaching Standards team in Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga. The team is preparing the Ministry to take on teacher standards, criteria, and the Code of Conduct once legislation is passed. You will lead the communication and engagement approach for this new function, shaping strategic communication planning across consultation, implementation and stewardship phases, and ensuring clear, consistent messaging aligned with Ministry priorities and the Teaching Council.
