Responsibilities
The candidate will work on a doctoral thesis under the project UNderstanding Lipid ImmunoMetabolIsm To trEat Disease (UNLIMITED) (ref: ). The research will investigate how manipulation of fatty‑acid oxidation (FAO) in tissue macrophages affects their metabolic and functional programming in health, atherosclerosis, and cancer models.
- Characterise the metabolic profile of macrophages in vitro and ex vivo following FAO manipulation.
