Responsibilities

The Purchasing Assistant provides clerical and administrative office work such as data processing, document processing, and record and file maintenance, supporting the purchasing/procurement department. The role focuses on the execution of operational processes of a purchasing/procurement department, and may also support a Purchasing/Procurement Manager or Director. The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all formula requests and item and ingredient needs are fulfilled accurately and timely. This role reports to the team manager.

Purchasing tasks

• Reviews, processes, and executes weekly mill and warehouse order requests, ensuring supply and following through until delivery to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Creates and administers contract purchase orders from bookings made by the buyer.
