Postdoctoral Researcher – Experimental Quantum Micromechanics

Overview

At the Department of Applied Physics, the Quantum Nanomechanics group conducts cutting‑edge experimental research on quantum micromechanical systems. The research focuses on probing fundamental quantum mechanics in massive systems and developing quantum technologies for information processing and sensing.

Responsibilities

1. Design samples and measurement setups for quantum micromechanical experiments.
2. Carry out cleanroom micro‑fabrication of mechanical oscillators and related devices.
3. Perform cryogenic microwave measurements in dilution refrigerators and analyse the data.
4. Advise and mentor PhD students within the group.
5. Contribute to the development of new experimental techniques for gravitational coupling, electromechanical entanglement and quantum sensing projects.
