**_Roles & Responsibilities:_**
The post-doc will study mechanisms of blood-forming stem and progenitor cell fate determination
and alteration in disease. One of the main tasks of the post-doc will be to interrogate the
contribution of lysosomes and their communication with mitochondria to the regulation of blood
forming stem cells and their alteration in leukemia. The post-doc will also carry experiments to
identify lysosomal receptors that are critical for stem cell dormancy. The highly motivated postdoc with a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or related fields and a strong background in cell biology
both alone and in collaboration with other scientists will apply state-of-the art approaches in
imaging, cell and molecular biology and biochemistry to fulfill these goals. The post-doc will also
participate and contribute to the routine jobs in the laboratory necessary to maintain the health of
