Job Description
Enhance land management practices as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. This two-year, in-person position focuses on soil data valuation and modeling methodologies at North Campus.
You will collaborate with Drs. Feng Qiu and Xiaoli Fan on critical projects funded by NSERC. The role includes developing models for land allocation and evaluating economic, environmental, and social values of soil data, along with publication efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create models to optimize land allocation
• Assess economic and social implications of soil data
• Prepare academic presentations and reports
Requirements:
• PhD in agricultural and applied economics or similar
• Excellent English communication skills
• GIS analysis experience is considered a plus
• Experience with land use modeling techniques
• Proficient in statistical tools like STATA, R, GAMS, or MATLAB
