Job Description:
The Physics Department in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas ( UTD ) is seeking to fill three postdoctoral researcher positions affiliated with UTDβs W. B. Hanson Center for Space Sciences. It is highly preferable that the candidate holds a Ph.D. in space physics or a closely related field.
The successful candidate will support ongoing research in magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, with a focus on particle precipitation in Earthβs magnetosphere. The incumbent shall analyze particle precipitation from low-altitude spacecraft, in conjunction with particle and wave measurements from near-equatorial spacecraft, and theoretically model electron precipitation driven by plasma waves in the Earthβs magnetosphere.
