Job Description

• Collaborating closely with the line manager and other team members on the research project to establish a collection of transgenic Drosophila lines with tagged transcription factors


• Designing transgenesis constructs and help with their molecular cloning and helping to generate transgenic fly strains


• Performing immunostains on different Drosophila tissues and confocal imaging of the samples to analyse transcription factor expression patterns


• Performing genome-wide transcription factor binding site analysis using CUT& RUN sequencing


• Populating and maintaining a database with imaging and binding profile data


• Assisting with the preparation of manuscripts for publication and presenting data at conferences
