Summary Serves as a Pipefitter/plumber with primary duties to inspect, repair and maintain all plumbing, steam and water systems throughout the campus. Incumbent works in all areas of the campus and is part of Operations under the Engineering section. Responsibilities Some of the duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following: Installs various types of valves such as relief valves and check valves, pressure regulators etc. Installs, modifies, repairs and maintains new and existing utility, supply and disposal systems and equipment such as backflow prevention devices/assemblies. Installs and monitors the operation of high-pressure piping systems and equipment including steam heating, steam generation, vacuum systems, radiators, and circulating pumps.
