Summary The Arts and Crafts Center provides a wide variety of services to the base. We host a variety of arts and craft classes for children and adults, to include our Paint and Sip nights. Our facility offers crafts made by local crafters like painted Alaska themed wooden bears, saws, Alaska themed items along with crocheted items, and moose shaped planters. This announcement is in conjunction with the Nonappropriated Fund FSS Hiring Events. Responsibilities Frames patron artwork or pictures following work order specifications. Selects finished wood or wood substitute/material from existing stock, measures and uses chopper to cut material to desired dimensions, and cuts stock with cutter or miter saw and glues or nails frame corners together. The incumbent uses small hand tools (e.g. hammer, drill, nail punch, glass scorer, mat knife, stapler, paper cutter) to assemble the picture frame.
