Lead Hospitalist - Southern OR. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Hospitalist and also administrative experience. As the lead hospitalist, you will lead a group of about 12 physicians and 2 mid-level providers. Our hospitalist physicians typically see between 10 and 15 patients a day. Four physicians work a 12-hour shift, one physician covers an additional 8-hour admission shift, and one physician covers a 12-hour night shift. Youll spend about three quarters of your time on clinical work; the rest is protected for administrative duties. Youll work closely with other physician leaders and leaders from nursing, operations, and case management to meet high quality standards for patient safety, outcomes, throughput, and utilization.
