Summary This Physician Assistant position is in the General Internal Medicine Service Line at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, MA. This position is full time 40 hours per week. Responsibilities VA Boston Healthcare System Medicine program has two services which are supported by Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs). This includes five Inpatient Teaching Teams staffed by medical residents, a supervising attending and an embedded GIM APP. Our medical service also runs one non-resident team (the Direct Care team) staffed by APPs and an Attending Physician. Clinical responsibilities will be comprised of time on our Direct Care team providing first call for medicine inpatients in collaboration with an attending physician as well as rotations on our traditional resident-led teams. All incumbents will work on both teams, with time split equally between the two teams in a ratio of approximately 50/50 Direct Care/Teaching.
