Position Overview

Alberta Health Services, Central Corridor is recruiting for a Physician Assistant to support the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. The role reports to the Primary Supervising Physician and functions within an agile multidisciplinary team.

Under the supervision of a Physician lead, the Physician Assistant will provide care to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions within their portfolio and will work to full scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessment, make differential diagnoses, order appropriate testing, and plan clinical management of patients.
• Provide direct clinical care to patients and consult with and refer to other health care professionals as indicated.
• Recommend and explain appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments.
