Physician Assistant

Positions in this job family perform professional medical services in a state hospital, institution, school, or facility for patients in state custody or care under the supervision of an Oklahoma licensed physician. Incumbents will be responsible for the overall primary medical care and treatment of patients assigned. Additionally, incumbents may provide specialized medical care and treatment in the diagnosis and treatment of illness or injuries relating to the recognized specialty areas for a Physician Assistant, certified (PA-C).

· Conducts initial and subsequent histories and examinations of new and existing patients, indicating clinical and physical, mental, or psychiatric problems; organizing and presenting data in such a manner that the physician can visualize the clinical problem and determine appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic steps.
