Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will be student centered with excellent knowledge of Physical Education. They will be a strong team contributor, implement Physical Education curriculum and instruction based on the NYS Learning Standards for Physical Education. The candidate must understand the importance of choice and variety in a PE curriculum and be able to “personalize”/differentiate instruction accordingly, establish positive relationships with students, and leveraging instructional technology and digital content. They must recognize that the Physical Education classroom is inclusive for all with less emphasis on a traditional model involving only games and athletic preparation, be committed to the idea of Physical Education as a key piece of the development of the whole child and have the ability to work collaboratively withi...
