Job Duties

Phlebotomists are responsible for collection and procurement of blood and human specimens in the clinical and non clinical setting. This role is an important component of patient experience, and the individual is expected to collaborate with clinical and non clinical counterparts to provide a safe environment that promotes the best possible outcomes.

+ Performs venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens according to the Clinical laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.

+ Demonstrates competency in patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, accessioning, and processing.

+ Exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
