Job Description
The Phlebotomist II plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing blood draws and other specimen collections in a fast-paced, high-volume cancer patient services center. This role supports daily laboratory operations through accurate specimen processing, troubleshooting issues, training support, and recommending workflow improvements to help the team operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities

+ Perform venipuncture and other blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles with a high degree of accuracy and patient care.

+ Collect, label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and store specimens according to established procedures and specific test requirements.

+ Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture, blood draw procedures, and other specimen collection processes (such as urine or fecal collection) to patients.
