Job Description
The Phlebotomist plays a key role in safely collecting, processing, and preparing specimens while supporting efficient laboratory workflow. This role involves performing venipunctures and other specimen collections, maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting routine issues, assisting with training, and making recommendations to improve work processes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities

+ Perform blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles with a high level of accuracy and patient care.

+ Collect and store blood and other specimens, such as urine or fecal samples, in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

+ Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.

+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify that all information is complete and accurate.
