CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a predoctoral researcher to develop, adapt and validate recycling strategies for next-generation lithium‑ion battery waste containing silicon–graphite anode materials, with a focus on both manufacturing scraps and end‑of‑life black mass (i.E., end‑of‑life batteries).
Main Job Functions
Develop and test lab‑scale recycling routes using different physico‑chemical separation processes for lithium‑ion battery materials containing silicon–graphite anodes, including production scraps and black mass.
Carry out basic process optimisation steps such as material pretreatment, delamination, leaching, purification and recovery of valuable battery materials.
Characterise recovered materials using common physicochemical and electrochemical techniques, in collaboration with specialised researchers when needed.
