Job Description: Pharmacy TechnicianPosition Responsibilities

+ Accurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist

+ Process returned medications and properly recycle or dispose of them per established procedures

+ Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications, including labeling and storage during low-volume periods

+ Manually package medications and related materials

+ Pick and pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas (e.g., prepack racks)

+ Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy

+ Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan properly

+ Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring adequate stock of supplies at all times

+ Comply with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA guidelines

+ Follow departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code
