Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing (non-sterile) and distributing medications, restocking automated dispensing devices, crash carts and fire medic kits, processing patient charges and credits and maintaining the drug inventory. They work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable, but not required. 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required. Pharmacy Technician Registration through the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy, Technician Certification preferred, but not required.
